Basketball Tournament Trophy-2013SVHEC built a 33-30 lead at halftime and pulled way after intermission to a 74-65 win over the 40 + Warriors for the Combined Teams tournament title.
Team members DeShon Dabbs, Demetre Faulkner and Tevin Watson paved the way to the win, with Dabbs scoring 26 points, Faulkner 23 points and Watson 11 points.
Lemark Walton and Warwick Norwood added eight and six points, respectively, for SVHEC.

The tournament win capped off an impressive season for the SVHEC team in the Business-Industrial League. The players, all students at the SVHEC, quickly found their rhythm and became a powerful force in the league. During the season, the team posted several big wins against the league's most dominant teams.

With the coaching and management of SVHEC staff members Darrick Hearns and Jermaine Gooden (both Operations Coordinators), the team ended the regular season with a winning record of 7-4.
