About the Innovation Center
The SVHEC's new home for Workforce Services, the Business of Art & Design, and the R&D Center for Advanced Manufacturing & Energy Efficiency The Innovation Center, located in the former American Tobacco Warehouse, is the newly renovated space for the programmatic expansion of the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center. After months of planning and a year of construction, the Innovation Center came online spring 2011. From the open academic spaces that allow student collaboration to the acrylic whiteboards and outdoor classroom, every inch of the Innovation Center has been designed to create the ultimate learning environment.
