COVID-19 Update to SVHEC Community
It is great to have you back on campus for the spring 2021 semester! Congratulations on not letting COVID-19 prevent you from pursuing your education.
We are continuing the COVID-19 procedures we implemented for the fall 2020 semester. While these adjustments may make SVHEC seem less welcoming, please know that we are taking the virus seriously and only want to provide you with the safest of environments. We are taking special measures to keep lab and classroom spaces safe and clean. All have been reconfigured to ensure social distancing and are being cleaned and sanitized after each and every meeting.
Some of the other steps we are taking to keep you safe, as well important contact and resource information are included in this link . We are strongly encouraging the SVHEC Community to download and use the Commonwealth’s COVID-19 Exposure Notification App, COVIDWISE. This app is a secure way to alert users if they have been in contact with someone who has been exposed to COVID-19 within the past 14 days. Visit www.covidwise.org to learn more.
Thank you for helping us all stay safe by wearing facial coverings, washing your hands, and watching your distance when on campus. And, if you feel sick or have a temperature, please stay home.
Please know that we are here for you, and we will support you in any way that we can. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me or Amy Cole (; 434-572-5441) if you have a problem.
I am confident that we can and will get through this – together!
