Job Training Class Schedule

Tech+ is your starting point to “skill up” and earn certifications to prepare for a career in IT. This 10-week course introduces you to IT concepts and terminology, helps you figure out if a career in IT is right for you, and provides the information you need to pursue an IT career pathway. The course also introduces artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies. Tech+ may be taken in-person or online. This listing is for the live, synchronous course which may be taken in-person or online.

The A+ course provides hands-on training in computer hardware repair, configuring operating systems, and related skills. Training prepares students to take the CompTIA A+ certification exam.

This course introduces students to the basics of the popular Python programming language. Hands-on learning is reinforced with practical applications for solving everyday problems in IT and other fields. Students will demonstrate proficiency by developing several programs individually. This course prepares students for the Python Institute PCEP Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer certification.

CompTIA Server+ teaches the skills needed to work with servers in datacenters, on-premises and in hybrid environments.  This course has a heavy emphasis on hands-on practice and covers server hardware installation and management, server administration, security and disaster recovery and troubleshooting. The course prepares students for the CompTIA Server+ certification exam SK0-005.

AI Web Development gives IT professionals and learners the foundational knowledge needed to understand the technologies that power today’s digital world. This course will cover:

• Client-Server Model
• HTTP/HTTPS Communication
• Database Design Principles
• API Architecture
• Web Security Fundamentals
• Basic Cloud Deployment Models

This hands-on course is designed for learners with basic programming experience who want to strengthen their technical literacy and confidently work with modern, web-based and AI-enabled systems.
